0003: HOW TO DETERMINE THE AMOUNT OF RAM INSTALLED IN YOUR COMPUTER

TASK

  You would like to determine the amount of Random Access Memory (RAM) currently installed in your computer.

RESOLUTION

1. Right click the My Computer icon. If this icon is not on your desktop, it can be found by left clicking Start , and it will be on the menu that pops up.
2. Left click the word Properties .
3. A dialog box entitled "System Properties" will appear. Ensure the "General" tab is selected, and look about 3/4 of the way down the page. You will something similar to the following: XXX MB of RAM where XXX is the amount of RAM in your computer.
