You need to determine the version of Windows installed on your computer - Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows XP Home Edition, etc.
1. Right click the My Computer icon. If this icon is not on your desktop, it can be found by
left clicking Start , and it will be on the menu that appears.
2. Left click the word Properties.
3. On the screen that appears, the first line will be the word System: The following lines will tell you the verion of
Windows, e.g. Microsoft Windows Home Edition.
